We’re in the first weeks of our new homeschool year.
I’m trying to create new things plus manage the chaos of life, which, let’s be honest, is a full-time job all by itself.
I loved this design, and I didn’t really know what I was going to do with it. At first I thought, “Hey, this would be cute on a t-shirt!” My kids love tees. Then I thought, “Nah, there’s not time for that — let’s just give it away for free. Someone else is bound to love it, too.”
I mean… I still might put it on a tee.
Because let’s be honest, we all need those little moments that make us feel seen. And this cat? She gets us.
Look at her. Calm. Composed. Slightly over it, but still showing up.
If that’s not the face of a homeschool mom deep into week 4 of her “flexible” lesson plan, I don’t know what is.
Then there’s the fish.
Three of them.
Floating along with wild eyes and questionable direction, likely asking for another pencil because theirs “just disappeared” again.
(Sure it did, buddy.)
And the greenery? Oh, that’s definitely the nature study I meant to do last Thursday.
Now it’s just... classroom decor.
We call that creative adaptation around here.
Honestly, I didn’t mean to feel personally seen by a cat surrounded by chaotic aquatic life, but here we are.
So, what can you do with this PNG?
Besides framing it as your new homeschool mascot (which, by the way, I fully support), here are a few fun and functional ideas:
-
Planner Cover – Remind yourself daily that you are the cat. And you’re doing great.
-
Sticker for Your Lesson Binder – Because humor belongs between spelling and science.
-
Tea Mug Design – Sip in style while someone cries over fractions.
-
Homeschool Room Wall Art – Instant vibe. Minimal effort.
-
Send to Your Favorite Homeschool Mom Friend – She needs this energy too.
Whether you’re knee-deep in a marine life unit or just winging it through Wednesday, this little image brings a smile and a gentle reminder: you’re doing better than you think.
We might be sipping cold tea, dodging glitter bombs, and repeating the difference between “their” and “there” like it’s a personal anthem… but look at us. We’re still showing up. We’re still teaching. We’re still laughing.
So go ahead and download it.
Print it. Share it. Stick it on something that’ll make you smile mid-meltdown.
Because at the end of the day, we’re the cat.
Cool. Calm. (Mostly.) Capable. (Absolutely.)
And surrounded by a few wiggly little fish who, believe it or not, are actually learning.
So take a deep breath, pour your tea (again), and keep showing up.
You’re doing the beautiful, messy work...even if the glue sticks are probably in the couch cushions.
Stay wild, stay whimsical,
